Solder-Free Fan Connector Kit (fan not included)

NOTE: The + and - pins on each connector are labeled on the Modder Board. These should be treated as the ground truth. It has come to my attention that some of the JST connectors have the red and black wires switched due to a lack of a standardized polarity. I will order some connectors with the next batch, but for now, if Red and Black are reversed, just wire up the fan backwards, or remove, rotate, and replace the small plastic connector that is attached to the board. I will remove this message once I have sorted out these supply quality issues, but for now, the "backwards" pins should work just fine.

This kit will allow you to easily splice a 2.5mm JST-XH connector to any fan in about 30 seconds without the hassle of solder or crimping tools.

2.5mm JST-XH connectors are the standard used by most 3-D Printer mainboards and breakout boards.

This kit is intended for use with low power fans only (<150mA).
Suitable Wire Diameter : 0.4mm-0.7mm / AWG 19 - 26

Contents:
10 pcs K1 UY Butt Splice Connector
2 pcs JST-XH 2.5mm male connector with 300mm wire

Instructions:
1) Cut wires to desired length (you may need to strip 3-5mm of wire insulation to be able to fully insert the wire into the K1 connector)
2) Insert both wires into the K1 connector, being sure to push the wires all the way in. The clear housing lets you see how far the wires are inserted into the housing.
3) Pinch the connector, depressing the yellow button.

This drives a conductive plate downward, which strips and joins the two wires.

The K1 connectors are filled with a dielectric grease, which prevents oxidation and helps dissipate heat. The K1 connectors are not reusable.
